Caliper collects nothing and sends nothing. Your measurements are files on your own device. That is not a promise about our intentions. It is a property of how the app is built, and you can check it.
com.apple.security.network.client cannot open an outbound connection. The
sandbox refuses it.
It is built and it is not in 1.0, because the service it uploads to does not exist yet. When it ships it will need the network entitlement, and this page will change in the same release, never after it.
When it does: it will send only the measurement bundle: the curves, the impulse responses behind them, the rig and calibration serials, and the session metadata you typed. It will show you that summary before sending, nothing will be sent automatically, and a submitted measurement will be published under a non-commercial licence with attribution, with you keeping your copyright.
Caliper can export a measurement bundle or a graphic. Once you hand that to another app, a message, or a website, that destination's privacy policy governs it and ours no longer applies. We never see it and have no way to.
Caliper is a measurement instrument for audio work. It is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, the most likely change is a new capability, and if one ever transmits anything, it will say so plainly here before it ships, not after.
