Attune plays your music through a different tuning on the headphones you already own, and lets you flip back to the original instantly, at exactly the same loudness. You can aim at our house voice, at the tonal signature of another headphone, or at your own result from a blind listening test.

Everything is blind and loudness-matched, on your own music, so you're judging tone rather than volume.

macOS 12 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac, or iOS 16 or later on iPhone and iPad. A pair of headphones and some of your own music is all you need.

A demo track is bundled, so the whole flow works the moment you open it, before you load anything.

Pick your headphone from the bar at the top, choose what to aim at, then flip between Stock and Matched. Same track, same loudness, only the tuning changes. When you're ready, use Find your soundto tune to your own taste.

Not inside Attune, and no app on macOS or iOS can. Streaming audio is protected end to end, so no third-party app is allowed to process it. Attune plays music you own: WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, AAC or MP3.

There is a way to get your tuning onto streaming, and it's the better answer anyway. With Attune Pro you can export your tuning as a standard AutoEq file and load it onto a DSP dongle at warrenlabs.com/tune. The dongle applies the EQ at the output, so it covers everything the device plays, streaming included, and it follows you to your phone. Loading needs a desktop copy of Chrome or Edge.

Point Attune at your music folder or pick a single track. Attune only getsread-only access to the files you choose, and it remembers your folder so you don't have to re-pick it every launch.

Importing your own measurement is free and will not become a paid feature.

Ours. Every headphone in Attune was measured here on a miniDSP EARS Pro. Nothing is pulled from a public database, and the graph draws the rig's uncertainty rather than hiding it. We'd rather ship a handful we can stand behind than thousands we can't, and the corpus grows as we measure.

If yours isn't there, you have two options that work today.Import your own measurement in CSV, AutoEq or squig format and Attune will voice-match to it exactly as it would to a bundled one: we take the difference between the two and correct for it, loudness-matched. That path is free. Orsend us the headphone: we measure it on our rig, publish the result either way, and add it. Email us the exact make and model and we'll put it on the list.

Yes. Attune is on iPhone and iPad, and Attune Pro is a Universal Purchase, so one $39 unlock covers Mac and iOS in either direction.

Because nothing is selected yet, and that's deliberate. The correction is computed from a real measured response, so until Attune knows which headphones you own there's nothing honest to draw. Pick your pair from the bar at the top and the graph and the Stock / Matched comparison come alive immediately.

It doesn't. Both sides are set to the same loudness on purpose, and we measured the residual rather than assuming it: 0.04 to 1.0 dB across the headphones we tested.

That matching is the whole point of the comparison. Anything even slightly louder sounds better for the first few seconds, every time, to everyone. Without level matching you aren't comparing tunings, you're just finding out which one is louder. If Matched feels quieter, what you're hearing is usually a bass or treble shift, not a level shift.

It will play through them, and you can tune them, but wired is the honest recommendation. Bluetooth headphones usually apply their own processing that we can't see or account for, so what you'd be correcting is the headphone plus whatever its firmware is already doing. Our measurements are of the headphone.

Attune has no account, no sign-in, and makes no network requests of any kind. It collects nothing and sends nothing. Your music, your listening and your tunings stay on your device. There's nothing to opt out of because there's nothing being gathered.

Won't open: confirm you're on macOS 12 or later with Apple Silicon, or iOS 16 or later, and that Attune came from the App Store. Quit and relaunch. If it still won't start, email us your OS version and device model.

No difference: check that a headphone is selected, that the correctoutput device is chosen inside Attune, and that a track is playing. Then remember the Stock and Matched comparison isloudness-matched on purpose. Listen for a change in tone, not a jump in level. Some pairs and some targets are a small correction, and a small correction is a small difference.
