Attune voice-matches your headphones to the tonal signature of anotherheadphone — as close as measurements can get you — then helps you tune from there to whatyou personally prefer. Everything is blind and loudness-matched, on your own music, so you're judging tone rather than volume.
macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel — Attune is a universal app and runs natively on both. A pair of headphones and some of your own music is all you need.
Pick your headphone and a target headphone, load a track from your Mac, then flip between Stock and Matched. Same track, same loudness — only the tuning changes. When you're ready, useFind your sound to fine-tune to your own taste.
Point Attune at your music folder or pick a track. It only gets read-onlyaccess to the files you choose, and remembers your folder so you don't have to re-pick it every launch. Your music never leaves your Mac.
Yes. The audition, the ear exam, and one saved profile are free, with no account and no card. A one-time Pro unlock ($39) adds unlimited profiles, export, and importing your own measurements. There is no subscription. Attune is in beta now and headed for the Mac App Store.
Attune has no account and no network connection at all. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and works fully offline — your music, listening, and tunings stay on your Mac. Full details on our privacy page.
Won't open: make sure you installed the current Attune beta build and you're on macOS 11 or later. Quit and relaunch; if it still won't start, email us with your macOS version and Mac model.
No sound or "no difference": choose the correct output deviceinside Attune and check your system volume. The Stock ⇄ Matched switch isloudness-matched on purpose — listen for a change in tone, not a jump in level.
Attune ships with a large library of measured headphones. If yours is missing, email us the exact make and model and we'll look at adding it in a future update.
